The Cypress Woods FFA Chapter will have the opportunity to participate in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Tour Guide Event in March. Students guide elementary school students around various sites, attractions and exhibits at the livestock show. FFA members wear their "outdoor" Official Dress and use the information they learned in their Agriculture Science classes to teach the kids along the tour. The members are judged on their performance and interaction with the elementary school students, and awards will be given to the Top 3 Chapters participating in the Tour Guide that day. This is a fun event enjoyed by many Cypress Woods FFA Members!


PLEASE SEE REQUIREMENTS BELOW FOR HLSR TOUR GUIDE PARTICIPATION:

* Must attend 3 out of 4 FFA Meetings (Sept, Oct, Nov, Jan) prior to tour date (1 excused absence is acceptable if approved by Ag Teachers)
* Work 8 hours at the Booster Club Craft Show
* If you also raise an animal project, all CFISD Livestock Show payment requirements must also be completed before the March Tour Guide date (record book, thank you cards, deliver pics and/or animal project meat - if applicable).

The March date of the HLSR Tour Guide will be announced asap.
This event counts as one (1) UIL excused absence from school.
